Baisakhi
Vaisakhi, also pronounced as Baisakhi is observed by Hindus all over India and other parts of South Asia and among Sikhs primarily in the Punjab region of India. People do celebrate this special festival in places all over the world though, including here in Slough.
It marks the beginning of Hindu solar New year. For Sikhs, Vaisakhi observes major events in the history of Sikhism and the Indian subcontinent.
It is usually celebrated on 13 or 14 April every year.
