Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Personal, social and emotional development (PSED) supports children to learn to get on with others and make friends, understand and talk about feelings, learn about 'right' and 'wrong', develop independence and ultimately feel good about themselves.
Early years PSED aspects
- Children play co-operatively, taking turns with others.
- They take account of one another's ideas on how to organise their activity.
- They show sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others.
- They form positive relationships with adults and other children.
