At St Mary’s we like to actively promote ‘pupil voice’, in line with this, children from all classes are invited to apply for the position of Maths Ambassador by giving a speech explaining why they feel they are a good candidate, this would but not always, include them sharing their love of maths and also their enthusiasm for the subject. There would then be a vote by the children within their class.

The role of a maths ambassador is to share their love of maths with the class, celebrate achievements both within their classes and cross the whole school, they would be expected to put forward new idea at meetings, help with raising the profile of maths across the school and also support events, such as Number Day.
