This week (week beginning 23.3.2026) we are going back over learning that the children have found challenging and need further support with.     

On Monday or Tuesday, the children will be working on identifying numerals 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. We will start by looking at numeral cards both in and out of order to support the children in recognising the numerals. We will then use Numberblocks Numberblocks - Series 1: Off We Go - BBC iPlayer to help us recognise 1-5 and observe their corresponding amounts. 

On Wednesday we will be matching amounts to numerals. We will recap the numerals both in and out of order and then the children will all be given Numicon matching our numerals. The children will talk about their plates of Numicon and then match it to the corresponding numeral. 

We will not be doing a formal maths lesson on Thursday due to the children taking part in the Easter bonnet parade. 

The Nursery is closed on Friday 27th March.
