This week we are reviewing rhymes that we have sung over the half term.
This week (week beginning 18.5.2026) our book is 'Dinosaur Roar!'. You can watch it with your child by following the link: DINOSAUR ROAR by Paul and Henrietta Stickland 🦖 Read Aloud #storyoftheweek
On Monday we will be repeating key vocabulary from the story with actions to support the children's understanding. The children will listen to the story and then say key words.
On Tuesday we will matching dinosaurs to their adjectives. The children will listen to the story, then look at pictures and match them to the vocabulary.
On Wednesday we will listen to the story again and then this week we will be drawing a dinosaur and then writing a sound or word to match our image.
On Thursday we will be looking at name writing. For those children who still need to learn to write their names, they will be practising weekly with staff.
Finally on Friday with Mrs Chatterjee the children will be recapping rhymes that they have done this half term. The children will sing some of their favourites.
To support your child's learning at home, please practice writing their name and read lots of stories together!
