Welcome to Year 4 Beech class! We are excited to have you in our class for a fun and fascinating year of learning. It will be a year full of new challenges and opportunities to grow.

School uniform expectations

Please ensure that the children come to school in smart school uniform at all times.  All items of clothing should be labelled with their name and class. Children should NOT wear trainers unless it is their PE days. Earrings should be small studs and should be covered or removed on PE days.

PE days 

Beech class PE days will be Tuesday and Wednesday. Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on these days. They are NOT required to bring a PE bag or their uniform with them as they will remain in their PE kits for the entirety of the day. 

Homework  

Children are expected to complete all assigned tasks on TTRS, Reading Eggs, and Mathletics each week. Any extra projects and written tasks will be be assigned on the school website and are to be completed buy the set deadline in their green homework books. Homework will be set each Friday to be returned to school by the following Wednesday. 

Reading books 

Reading records should be brought to school alongside their set books everyday. Children are expected to make their own comments about the books they read in their reading records (guidance for expectation is inside the cover of the reading records). Books will be changed regularly on Mondays and Thursdays.
