Change of address and contact details

Please let an office staff member know if you have changed your

• Address
• Mobile phone number
• Email address
• Second person details

It is very important that these are kept up to date on our system.

Child absence

If you know your child will be absent from school, please inform us by 9:00am either by;

• phone 01753 534791 choosing the absence line or
• email on: officestaff@stmarys.slough.sch.uk 

Please state clearly

1. your child’s name,
2. class name and
3. specific reason for absence.

If your child is absent and there is no contact, we will contact you to find out if your child is safe and whereabouts is known.

Equipment

Please ensure your child has all the equipment they need for the school day.  Due to the high volume of children, we cannot accept responsibility for the collection and distribution of forgotten bags, PE kit etc.  This causes confusion, possible misplaced items and disruptions to lessons.

Hometime Collection Time

If you are unable to collect your child and ask a friend or relative to support, you will need to 

• inform the office of the person collecting
• receive a password from the school
• Share the password with the person collecting
• person collecting informs the adult.

Please respect that it may be different staff members who are handing over your child, so safeguarding is necessary.

If other adults are collecting your children then you will need to contact the office to arrange a password for collection. This is to ensure safeguarding for your child/ren.
