Every class is divided into 3 groups of 10 children each, named after colours: Amarillo (Yellow), Azul (Blue) and Verde (Green).

During the academic year, the students are awarded points for various reasons: winning a competition or class game, answering a difficult question in class, doing a great piece of work, etc. The points are counted at the end of each term and the winning group gets a small prize for their efforts. 

At the end of the year, all the points are added up, and the overall winner gets the Spanish Cup and a final prize.
