As with all subjects, your presentation MUST be clear.

Ensure all digits (including decimal points) are clearly defined and cannot be in any way misread as another.  Remember, SATs answers will not be awarded if they are unclear!

If you don't have enough space on a line to complete your number, then start the whole equation on a new line - do NOT split it across both lines.
