Miss Robinson's/ Mrs. Fogarty's Maths Group

Good morning Year 6! Welcome to your third week of online learning.

Well done for all your hard work on geometry. This week we are moving on and starting a new unity of study - DECIMALS.

I know that you are familiar with decimals as we looked at them as part of PLACE VALUE and when we studied the FOUR RULES OF NUMBER. As you would expect, this is moving your understanding of decimals on so you will need to use what you already know.

Take a few moments to revise what you know about decimals.

What are they used to represent?

Can you remember the names of the column values from thousandths to tens of millions?

When do you see decimal numbers used in the world around you?

1.  Watch the lesson carefully - stopping to make notes.

2.  Complete the tasks during the lesson in your Home Learning book.

Mark your answers as you go along.

3. Complete the INDEPENDENT LEARNING TASKS in your Home Learning book.

Mark your answers as you go along.

Make sure you take photographs of you work so all work can be seen.

Please check them before you send them.

Then email them to the Rowan class email address.
