3. Use beans, pasta or buttons to find out which number is bigger/smaller for the following questions.

 

Questions:

 

a) What is bigger? 13 or 19? Explain why using tens and ones. (Parents: 19 is bigger because it has 9 ones).

 

b) What is bigger? 16 or 12? Explain why using tens and ones.

 

c) What is bigger? 22 or 25? Explain why using tens and ones.

 

d) What is smaller? 20 or 8? Explain why using tens and ones.

 

4. Take a picture and send to your class teacher.
